� Concept

Absence of the public employee justified by death of family members or relatives

� Scope

The public employee may be absent:

� Up to 5 consecutive days due to death of spouse not separated, person living in cohabitation or joint economy with the public employee, family member or relative in the first degree in a direct line (parents, parents-in-law, children and adopted children)

� Up to 2 consecutive days due to death of other family member or relative in a direct line (grandparents, great-grandparents, grandchildren, great-grandchildren...) or in second degree of the collateral line (brothers, brothers-in-law)

� Formalities

� Compulsory communication to the public employer, as soon as possible

� Submission of the supporting document of facts invoked for the justification, whenever so requested by the public employer, within the 15 days of the communication
