ABSENCES FOR JOURNEYS TO SCHOOL OF THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR EDUCATION OF A MINOR

� Concept and scope

Absence of the public employee responsible for a minor�s education, up to four hours per quarter, for each minor and for the time strictly necessary for traveling to school in order to be aware of the minor�s educational situation

� Formalities

� When predictable are compulsorily communicated to the public employer within a minimum 5 days in advance

� When unpredictable are compulsorily communicated as soon as possible

� The public employer may within 15 days of communication request document proving the facts invoked for the justification
